iHeartRadio – Music & Radio App Reviews

Needs Improvement

This is a really well written app that fits right at the menu bar. It works efficiently. The problem begins when this app turns out to be a powerhog. When running on portable Macs, it’s constantly listed in “Apps using significant energy” and when checked in activity monitor, it does use lot of resources and hit’s a terrible hit on the battery life even when it’s idle. Please look into this. Thank you.

horrible selection

Extremely limited selection of stations and no way to add one.

Great Job iHeart

Really enjoy iHeart Radio. It is all my wife and I listen to given a choice. Unfortunately I can’t stream music to the stereo in my company car. Just found this app for the desktop, and I love not having to go to iHeart thoough a browser. WOuld like to say though, the reason I found the app is because the iHeart site is donwn today.

Missing one feature.

This application is amazing except it should allow the function keys that play/pause music to control this app.

I wish the latest bug was patched...

I love this app but for some reason lately it wont show my recent stations and wont let me sign up for an account! The app just load up blank….dont know why? I have reset my MBAir and Im running OS X EL Capitain…..Just want it to work please fix.

The best way to play music outside of iTunes

I wish all music apps worked just like this. It’s native you don’t have to deal with a browser, it’s extremely responsive and it’s located in a spot that makes it extremely unintrusive. My only two complaints are that I can’t control music with my play button on the keyboard (is there a fix for that?) and that at times I wish it had the option to undock from the top bar, but for the vast majority of time I actually prefer it there. Definitely worth the download, especially as Apple is going to start charing to stream music on iTunes.

Has not worked at all for the past few months now.

Even with this latest update, the logo just keeps spinning and spinning around and around. It wont even show recommended stations or what I recently played. Common iheartradio really?

Nice Alternative To iTunes :)

I havent really showed much interest in listening to Music from Radio Stations, until I start using iHeartRadio, when I downloaded the app to my Mac and started listening to it, I was absolutely blown away, being that I never really knew it could have been so much fun. Its friendly user interface and functions make it really easy to navigate through the list of radio stations that one might be interested in. Although the location of the icon on the top bar and the fact that one can’t navigate where the music plays, may be a bit annoying, but the overall expereince is still enjoyable. I am personally an Apple Music subscriber, but I don’t always like the recommendation list Apple Music provides, I felt this is the “exact” and “best” alternative to head to. I felt it’s always nice to just listen what’s been put up, despite having personal preferences. It’s defnitnely worth downloading.

Nice!

Keeps me from having to head to the website or pull up the app on my phone. Just what I needed.

Works well.

Running this on 10.11.4 El Capitan, and it plays nicely in the background while I’m working. A+
